What a great birthday party!
My mum was also impressed by the fact that I was eating my cake! She knows I never really liked cakes but I have started to appreciate them at school... don't tell her, but that's all I eat when I have my school lunches...!
And after the cake, some phyisical exercise, to release all our energy... the pinata!!
Wrapping-up...

che giorno meraviglioso!!
Then, my mum brought a tray full of cupcakes to school... yes, today was also my birthday!!! They say I am five but I am not entirely convinced. Five years old kids look SO BIG to me!!
Back home, we had another party with my friend Matilda and her little sister Iolanda. Dad is out of town so my parents decided (without consulting me) to celebrate my birthday with all my new friends next Sunday...

Halloween si avvicina...
MAacome?
A presto nonni!

la mia scuola nuova - my new school (No.2)
mum has been helping me with the new transition, she is spending half an hour every day with me a school and, as dad says, she is learning her ABC's again - so far she's deepended her knowledge of the letters S, T, C and K, etc. Mum thinks this is not funny but in truth she does enjoy it! Anyway this umbelical cord will have to be cut one of these days...
Do I like the new school? Indeed I love it! First, it is right INSIDE my favourite park! Second, it is only five minutes walk from home! Third, I have fun when I am at school. The hardest part is making new friends though. I so much miss my Washington friends and cannot think of making new ones at all. I am just waiting for Danilo to board a plane and come play with me here!

la scuola dell'obbligo
Domani lo accompagna Lorenzo!
After a glorious start, Leo yesterday realized that all kids must attend school, willingly or not. He therefore told us he has no intention of going to school any longer as it is not his choice.... And this morning he did what he had announced: he hang on my ankle for more than 10 minutes crying and shouting he would never let me go. Two teachers (with an horrified look) had to come and embrace him while I sneaked away - after applying various supposedly persuading techniques including bribing to convince him to remain calm.
Tomorrow Lorenzo will drop him off.
