In DC I am trying to work and be a mother at the same time. Not easy!
Have you been in Orissa? Are you familiar with the env./mining issues in India? You seem to be travelling a lot so maybe you have visited those places?!
I have been to central and northern India many times, but not to Orissa. My husband has a degree in environmental management and is interested in all kinds of environmental issues.
I had a pretty good career as an artist in Hong Kong, for 12 years, and it is so delightful to see your little boy painting! I miss my own studio time, but I started a novel 3 years ago, and I concentrate on that, now, in lieu of visual arts. I think I am depriving myself...
My own kids are grown. One's in university, still, but the other is working in Washington DC, researching Chinese business practices and writing articles for a business organization. How many languages does your little boy speak?
I guess I would start with some children's books - maybe because I read more children's books these days than I read the news!! (Leo is obsessed with books).
Leo can speak Italian and English. His dad is toying with the idea of introducing him to Chinese, too. I guess your kid speaks Chinese?!
Then of course I hope I will also be able to move to some exotic place. In front of the ocean. Right in front on it!
...Blinded by the light...
Mama always told me not to look into the sights of the sun... Oh but mama that's where the fun is...blinded... I got blinded...

A really lovely blog!
What are you doing in Washington? (My son works there, my parents used to live there).
Your link to environmental project in Orissa is intriguing.
Hope you'll visit my humble blog sometime.
Thank you!!!
Your blog is very exciting!
