"Today the children used paint to create. They were given no verbal instructions, just allowed to explore as they wished. Leonardo used the material as an exploration of process. He began by adding many different colors. As he added more paint he realized he had too much paint and he tried different methods for removing the paint. First he tried to use a piece of string to wipe some off. He then used a paper towel to remove some of the paint. In his last step, Leonardo used another piece of paper. He soon discovered he created another painting. He then began adding more paint and rubbing the papers together to see what would happen. "
